Job Description
Employees in this position are responsible for repairing, replacing, installing and maintaining equipment following all policy and procedures including safety and quality policies and procedures. Employees in this position support the facility to ensure the plant is operational.
_Job Summary/
Responsibilities:_ An employee's main responsibility in this position is copper and stainless steel welding and repairs with some fabrication work. Employees in this position will also service various industrial machinery and equipment, industrial mobile equipment and plant facilities. To be successful in this position employees must pay close attention to detail, stay organized to ensure accuracy, and have mechanical, troubleshooting, basic math and computer skills. All ATI employees are required to work safely as providing a safe environment to work in is the company's top priority. This is a varied position in which each task has the potential of being performed for up to 12.25 hours per day. The ability to work overtime and come in when called for emergency/urgent repair needs is required. Overtime may be scheduled for special project work as well. There are multiple work areas with multiple different pieces of equipment/machines/areas of the facility so physical activity would depend on what machine/equipment/area of the facility an employee is working on any given day.
Requirements
_Minimum
Qualifications:_
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years of welding/fabrication work experience (we use GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW methods/processes) _Preferred
Qualifications:_ 2years' experience in industrial, manufacturing, and/or processing industries; previous welding school; previous experience in the metals industry; previous experience operating Industrial Mobile Equipment (IME), especially forklift; strong safety knowledge, including Lock Out/Tag Out and Confined Space; basic electrical knowledge
