JOB TITLE: Safety Specialist
Job Description
Successful Candidates will:
Provide occupational safety and industrial hygiene (OS&IH) support and services. Assist in problem-solving and requirements implementation. Partner with bargaining unit Safety Reps in helping resolve both project-specific and programmatic issues. Conduct OS&IH field assessments, inspections and walk downs to evaluate conditions and ensure compliance. Participate in critiques, incident investigations, and corrective action management. Develop and implement strategies in support of OS&IH initiatives/enhancements. Support implementation of 10 CFR 851. Assist the VP and Directors, and Managers, as required, in performance of Safety & Health related tasks. Provide OS&IH oversight to direct and subcontracted work activities.
REQUIRED
BS/BA in a related field and 2-5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
DESIRED
o Two years' experience with ISMS/VPP principles and processes.
o Certified Safety Professional/Certified Industrial Hygienist a plus.
o Knowledge of well drilling and experience with various drilling equipment for the drilling, constructing, and developing of wells.
DURATION
Expected period of performance shall be Date of Award- September 30, 2015 (with possibility for extension).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
